The most complete two-day on snow Telemark clinic offered in North America. We cover it all, from the DNA of basic Telemark skiing to high end hybrid free heel techniques including step, jump, and hop Tele’s, linking smooth turns, and free heel parallel. A special section on skiing moguls and steep and packed surfaces round out the day.

SUNDAY FEB 6, 2011

Einar Aas was our beloved Ski School Director for 43 years, a man so much larger-than-life that legend has it that the Norse god Ullr himself brought Einar to us in a fierce snowstorm, carrying him clear across the ocean from his birthplace of Trondheim, Norway. Sadly, he now skis on the great snowy mountain in the sky, but his witticisms (so well-known and numerous that they’ve earned their own moniker, “Einarisms”) continue to live on at Butternut.

The Einar Aas Memorial Race will feature junior racers from several regional interclub and tri-state teams, and will take place on Main Street.
