Go Tubing!

Over MLK weekend, Ski Butternut was packed with skiers and boarders. But for the non-skiers, or those who just decided to take a break and try something new, our tubing center was open with 7 runs.

Amongst the customers this weekend was the New England travel writer for about.com, who posted a review of her family’s experience on the site. Though the holiday weekend crowds made it a bit more cramped than usual, it sounds like they still had a great time.

She also made a terrific video of the outing!

The tubing center is open every weekend starting Christmas break, weather permitting, and usually stays open until March. On Saturdays, tubing is open from 10AM until 8PM, hours after the lifts close (so you can stay and tube after a full day of skiing). On Sundays, tubing runs from 10AM until 5PM, with extended hours during holiday weeks. The tubing center is also open all week during the Christmas and Presidents’ Week school breaks. Newly expanded to 7 lanes, the tubing center can accommodate a crowd, but if you can sneak a visit during a non-holiday weekend, you might have a lane to yourself. Tickets are $18 per person for a 2-hour session, or $99 for unlimited tubing sessions all season long.
