Don’t Take Our Word For It

At Ski Butternut, we don’t like to brag.

Yes, thanks to our newly upgraded snowmaking system, we were the first mountain in Massachusetts this year to open 100% of our terrain. And, sure, at $279 or less for a season pass with absolutely no blackout dates, we offer one of the best skiing deals anywhere in the country. Not to mention full-day lift tickets for $25 or less on all non-holiday weekdays. And $35 weekend deals for college students, members of the military, police, firefighters, and EMTs.

Yup, we could pat our own backs. But that’s not our style. Our favorite compliments aren’t the ones we give ourselves, but the ones we receive from the people who ski, ride, and tube Ski Butternut. After all, if it weren’t for you, we wouldn’t be here to share our love of winter sports with you, on 22 impeccably maintained trails (plus our tubing runs), with over 1,500 sets of brand new rental equipment for you to use, and hundreds of employees to make sure that you have the gear, the clothes, the skills, the snow, the lifts, the parks, and of course, the food and drink, to make every day at Ski Butternut happy, safe, and wicked fun.

So, we’re particularly humbled and gratified by all the nice things you have to say about us.

Readers of Snow East Magazine rated us their favorite mountain in Massachusetts and their favorite mountain under 1,100 vertical feet in the east, as well as their favorite classic resort and Great Barrington their favorite destination village.

Yelp users rate us an average of 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Epinions reviewers give us 4 out of 5 stars.

78% of On The Snow readers would recommend us for families, and 85% would recommend us to intermediate skiers.

And folks are sharing compliments at TripAdvisor.

We’re glad so many people had so many nice things to say about Ski Butternut, and we’ll keep working hard to make sure that every ski day is a great one. We realize that people have criticism, too (some of it is right there on those websites), and we can take it. We appreciate all feedback as we strive to be the best family mountain around.

So, don’t take our word for it. Come ski for yourself (or board, or tube, or just hang out in one of our lodges). And then let us know what you think, and share your thoughts on our blog, our Facebook and MySpace pages (see links in sidebar), on other sites around the web, and with your friends and family. After all, your word-of-mouth is the best compliment of all.
